Family Science Night 2010

During this event for children and their parents I taught a second grade science lesson that I entitled Buzzing for Blooms.  Students participated in a scent simulation, a pollination simulation, and got to sample local honey.

MTU Science Festival 2010

Students who participated learned how to check their own pulse, discover if physical activity affects heart rate and how much, and learned how to find their reasting heart rate and where their body falls along the average.
